well, my extended holiday is fast drawing to a close.
actually, i am leaving Karlsruhe in about an hour, as i will be staying with friends in Weinheim tonight. They are very generously driving me to the airport, so i don't have to get up quite as early.
it's been an interesting trip. i've learned some German. i've seen new places. i went to an Oktoberfest for the first time, and learned the trick to drinking full litres of beer*. and i think most importantly, i got to spend time with my brother and his soon to be fiancee.
a part of me can't wait to get home ( i really miss my cat ), but another part wants to stay. ( i haven't learned anywhere near enough German yet. haven't even done past tense ... not to mention, at home i have to work. )
*OK. i realize that some of you all don't have any problem with that. but i've always been a lightweight.
