Getting grease smell out of clothes

Housemate washed some wash cloths with a rag that had kitchen grease on it.

She can't get the kitchen grease smell out of the wash cloths now.

She tried using kitchen detergent in the washing machine; no luck.

Advice?

Lysol or Pine-sol can help; read the bottle for laundry instructions. I have a friend who uses some every time he washes towels to deodorize them; I grudgingly admit his towels smell better than mine w/ my fabric softener.
