There’s this woman that I’ve been seeing since September. She expressed interest early on, but has been giving me rather mixed signals throughout this time. More recently, I’ve been giving her some distance. She’s been spending most of her time with her sick parents, and some her “alone time” has been very precious to her.
Today, she called to break my heart. What a wonderful Christmas present. This’ll be the best Christmas ever.
If she’s been giving you mixed signals for three months, maybe someday you’ll be glad she finally stopped with that bullshit. Until then, I’m sorry you’re dealing with such pain, and for her insensitive timing. May you have a far, far better new year.
