Sorry, a suit. As in, jacket, tie, and nice pants. I think I heard the announcer say something about someone he knows dieing (because of his deal with Jor-El), so iot may have been a funeral. It amy also be a scene from a different ep, they do that sometimes.

Sort of just on par for an episode of Smallville.

Too predictable an ending (and in that vein, a beginning.) I wish maybe no bullet was fired, and it was all Lois who saved the day. Although I did love Clark and Chloe discussing, in not as many words, the Man of Steel, Women of Kleenex issue.
