I'm anxiously awaiting the start..1049 miles (+/-) of the race...
IDITAROD XXXIV Ceremonial Start - 10 a.m., March 4, 2006 My goal is to be there (spectator)) in 2010.I'm mulling over a top 10 list of finishers for another site....any Race fans or insight? On a side note...Lance Mackey is looking smooth in the rerouted Yukon Quest. GoDogGo, TSFR |

Susan Butcher!
Actually, she's not racing anymore since having her daughters and developing that weird cancer, but she's just a damned cool lady. She was my pick to do a bio of when we did the Iditarod/Alaska unit in sixth grade. I think I ended up following Susan Amundsen, but I see she's not running this year and I'm not having any luck googling her up. But I might have followed DeeDee Jonrowe . . . or maybe that was my brother. I honestly cannot remember. But yay! Iditarod! |

That;s cool....I meant to post it in IMHO as what I am looking for is top...say 5-10 picks....but i missed.....I'm assembling mine now for the forum at: Cabela's Itditarod 2006 race coverage Not a plug as it (IMHO) is the best race coverage for the buck....free Jeff King would have to be on my list as some of the other "crown prince'es (ess's?) Buser, Iten, Janrowe, Seavy...i also think Rachel Scdoris will FINISH in the top 15 or 20...She has a great vetran assistant Tim Osmar (Rachel has visual inturtepter as she is legally blind) 11 days till the statrt....whooo hooo.
