Wine: Mouton Cadet 2003

This one’s specially for Hal Briston

It’s Rothschild’s ‘lesser’ wine. I originally purchased this as a presentation half-case to give to someone for Christmas, but the opportunity to gift it never arose. I actually thought it was a mixed (i.e. bottles of red and white wines) case until I cracked open the wooden case, but it’s 6 bottles of a lovely red claret. Smooth and full bodied and ready for drinking now, though I’ve no doubt you could lay it down. I’ve variously enjoyed it with steak; steak and ale pie; and a cheese, beef, and tomato submarine.

Yum.

Good thing for vanity searches, but I have no idea why I’m called out in this one. In the immortal words of Mr. Lugosi, “'I never drink…wine”.
Unless you’re confusing “Mouton” with “Mouflon”.
