Why does firefox keeps deleting my bookmarks.
Firefox has deleted my bookmarks three times in as many months. Needless to say, this has pissed me off considerably. Is there anything I can do to ensure this doesn't happen again, or should I just switch back to IE?

What version of Firefox do you have? Here are the instructions for restoring bookmarks in Firefox 1.5 .
As far as I know, it is a bug in Firefox that will occur randomly.

Why do I have this feeling that it's the plugins not playing nice with each other, that's causing the random deletions?

The Mozbackup extension is a lifesaver. Every time you close Firefox it saves a copy of your profile (bookmarks included) in a separate place, safe from any bugs in FF, etc.
You'll never have bookmark woes again.
