Geez, you guys must think I only have time on my hands....

I would be happy to post the profiles, but I don't want to have to keep checking back here. If you really want me to do it, send your birthdays to my email address.

That is, I'll post for the people who've already given their birthdays... anyone else can email.

Frank: There is a little numerology blurb for each one, I'll include that in yours.

June 20th

Quote:
June 20 people have a way of arousing strong emotions and bringing
others out. Exceptional people born on this day can even experience or allow others to
experience a loss of rational orientation or a heightened state. Such a state in extreme
cases may be trancelike, ecstatic, even hysterical. Powers of ESP, psychic and predictive abilities are not uncommon among June 20 people. Indeed, those born on this day must guard their rationality. They should periodically examine their logic, for if it is employed to serve purely emotional ends then it may not be reasonable at all. Persuading others, in and of itself, is extremely attractive to many June 20 people. Unfortunately, they may not have the highest tolerance for ideas contrary, or as they see it, threatening, to their own. In fact, some June 20 people wish there to an unspoken feeling of consensus in their social environment which supports and
sympathizes with their often extreme points of view.

:::snip:::
Although June 20 people are ultra-sensitive to emotion they may not always be
sensitive to the concerns of others at any given time. Thus it is important for them to
work on promoting in themselves the simple human attributes of kindness, consideration
and acceptance, while alleviating the root causes of jealousy, anger or envy. June 20
people must learn to express their emotions in a free-flowing yet moderate manner, and to
cultivate a sense of calm internally and externally.
Excerpts taken from "The Secret Language of Birthdays."

Well, it is a really cool book... but my mind keeps wandering back to the MPSIMS thread "Whole Contents of Books You Must Share", for some reason....

Unless Lynn gives the green light for more, I'm just going to send them by email. I have already emailed to Phil and Pat. I will try to get through as many as I can before the boy wakes up from naptime.

I invite everyone to post quotes and/or responses, though. I will post blurbs if I think they are especially fitting.

This sounds an awful lot like Astrology ... but what the hell.

July 17, 1965.

(I share a birthday with Disneyland, David Hasselhoff, and J. Michael Straczynski [of Babylon 5 fame]. July 17 is also the day Ty Cobb died, which must be a good omen. Oh, and 1965 is the year the U.S. stopped minting silver dimes and quarters.)

The boy's still sleeping, so I'm off to rearrange the living room. I may get back to it after he goes to sleep for the night.

Satan was born of January 20th, Kelli was born on June 20th, I was born on May 20th, all in the year 1969 . . . cue the Twilight Zone music!

Okay, I recognize it's not really that amazing, but it is a bit of a coincidence. (I almost put "coinky-dink" but then realized I'd be required to slap myself.)

November 11, 1965, please.

That's 11/11/65, which must have some numerological significance -- you've got eleven, then another eleven, then 6 & 5 which make eleven.

Wait -- don't tell me! I'm destined to make smart-assed posts on a highly literate message board. Wow! Far out man!

Quoting myself:

Meaning: Post your responses. Otherwise I did this for nothing.

Since you've all licensed me to know everything about you, I suppose it's only fair to post MY birthday profile.

July 1st
Quote:
"The Day of Emancipation"

July 1 people tend to be highly sensitive, capable and adaptable, as well as emotionally open. Though many born on this day are also long-suffering, and very pront to emotional pain, they generally win out in their struggle against dominance, injustice or oppression of any type.

July 1 women feel keenly the conflict between the workplace and motherhood or the demands of a career vs. keeping a home; therefore, they are often taken up with issues surrounding gender in modern society. July 1 men have an unusual sensitivity and empathy for women, and for their own feminine side.

July 1 people of both sexes are often their own worst enemy in that depression can be a constant and unwelcome companion in their lives. Worries regarding inferiority at work or failure at home can dog them even when they are most successful. Those born on this day are likely to display ambivalent feelings toward individuals and social groupw with whom they are most closely bound, and ultimately, toward themselves. On the positive side, July 1 people are hardly ones to follow blindly. No matter how committed they are to an endeavor, cause or ideology, they remain flexible enough to see another point of view or way of doing things. July 1 people seek profundity and are quickly put off by simplistic answers and shallow thought.

July 1 people are indeed deep themselves -- complex personalities who keep a whole world of strictly personal feelings inside them. On the other hand, they have a highly social side which generally manifests in acts of service and unselfish contributions to society. July 1 people tend to be givers rather than takers. Because of their receptive and empathic tendencies, they are often sought out as understanding and helpful friends. Yet, when they are in one of their tormented states they are of little constructive use for anyone.

Those born on this day have their own particular brand of emotional self-torture. It seems that they must bring up very disturbing feelings and work them ou t before they can advance in their personal development. The danger is that they will get locked into negative patterns. Often a chance happening or even a shock is needed to reorient them, followed by a sudden realization of thier behavior and subsequent resolve to improve their situation. Here a more highly evolved July 1 emerges as an aggressive and positive personality willing and ready to function in the world, and capable of integrating a successful social, family and love life. Sometimes those born on this day become remarkably extroverted once they come out of their shell, and actively seek out life's pleasures. Such revels are a kind of lifelong celebration of emancipation.

{{Outta curiousity, am I potentially violating copyright laws?}}

Yes, possibly. It depends on how much you quote from the book in your replies.

{{You are kind of paraphrasing what the book actually says...right? Besides, you are probably helping to sell copies of the book...right?}}

Paraphrasing is good. However, whether or not the quotes help to sell books is not relevant, and won't be taken into consideration should anyone get sued.

Best thing to do is not post everyone's birthday right out of the book. Emailing it to individuals who've asked for it is fine.

Hmmmmm, when I hit the "submit" button, it says that "host is unreachable". I don't know if this will show up twice or not. I'm off to see the (tech) wizards...

Shit, chris; how long can it take to post 366 profiles? If you don't need the year, then that's the only possible number of profiles unless you're considering making different ones for males and females. In that case, then double the number.

OK, here's what Chris' e-mail to me contained . I'll bold the parts I think apply to me.

-------------------------------------
Those born on November 27 either generate excitement or are drawn to exciting
situations, or both. They are quick on their feet and an electric quality
seems to permeate their endeavors. Those born on this day can be extremely
impulsive and rarely stop to ask themselves if they are headed on the correct
course.Often their intuitions are correct, but they can also get themselves
into plenty of hot water, fast.
November 27 people often strike others as
nervous types - both internally and externally they seem to be in constant,
rapid motion. They are capable of exerting tremendous energy in order to
meet a deadline, and therefore are excellent additions to a work team.
They
also have an instinctive feeling for what their coworkers need both
technically and emotionally, and for this reason make excellent bosses as
well, although as non-authoritarian types they tend to rebel against
restrictions placed on them and are likewise uncomfortable in roles where
they must discipline others. Absolute freedom of action is their primary
requirement, and only those who understand this are able to live with them in
harmony.

Frustration is evident in any November 27 person who is tied to an inflexible
lifestyle or rigidly moralistic partner. Such frustration can burst forth
suddenly in fits of impatience and temper. Anger is often a serious problem
for those born on this day, whether overly expressed or hammered down inside.

In the latter case, such emotions can easily turn to depression and feelings
of low self-esteem. The highs of November 27 people are stratospheric and
the lows catastrophic. Usually,
however, those born on this day do not swing back and forth cyclothymically -
a good or bad period lasts for some time; however, it is very difficult for
November 27 people to stay with a situation that is clearly not working for
very long and, thankfully, their
uptempo periods seem to be longer lived.

November 27 people can do surprisingly well in family situations, since they
love children, animals and making their homes comfortable and secure. They
are happiest when they have both this stability and the freedom to roam as
well, an unlikely combination, unfortunately.
Because of their
non-authoritarian attitude, they may feel more comfortable in treating their
children as friends or siblings. This can cause real problems for those
children who feel the need for a strong father or mother figure and have to
look elsewhere. Violence is a theme that figures prominently in the lives of
many November 27 people. Either they are prone to violence themselves, or
inexplicably call it up in the environment around them. Learning to even out
their
energies, to deal with upsets and upheavals, and calm troubled waters is a
great spiritual challenge for them. Their personal evolution will usually
grow in direct proportion to their capacity to understand and channel these
energies.
---------------------------------------

I'd say not too much better than a cold read. Chris said she didn't think it jibed with her perception of me. Too harsh or too light?

phouka, we also share a birthday with Caroline Kennedy and Eddie Rabbitt. Jimi is cooler, though!

Well, I'm not going to give the details, but suffice it to say that it was remarkably accurate. As in "Oh-my-goodness-does-the-person-that-wrote-that-book-live-in-my-house" accurate.

Very cool, and definitely not a waste of money!

Phil, I'm going to shamelessly copy your way of doing things and bold the parts that apply to me. Thanks for the idea.

This is a rather depressing description, y'all can skip it.

October 5th

Justice is a major theme in the lives of those born on Oct. 5. Generally guarding the truth, as they see it, they will do what they can to first expose and then oppose unfairness, corruption or oppression. Not satisfied with this, however, they will often persuade friends, family members or colleagues to help put the situation right. Those born on this day can be found working on a personal level or at the highest echelons of society with the same determination.

In like manner, Oct. 5 people insist on fair treatment for themselves and will not tolerate insults to their dignity. Indeed, the concept of fair play occupies such a central place in their speech and thought that they may be accused at times of using the cause of justice for their own personal advancement. This may or may not be true, but in fairness, those born on this day generally think of the cause first and their own wishes second. (Not bloody likely!) They can even go too far in this direction through self-sacrifice and self-denial, giving up what is most pleasurable to them for the sake of their ideals and the well-being of others. (That ain't me!!!! hehehe) They must moderate such behavior (not a problem)because sooner or later their personal needs and wants will assert themselves, and they may be forced to resign from their position or cut back drastically on the responsibilities they take on, leaving those who have grown dependent on them stranded.

October 5 people are at heart life-oriented and fun-loving. When functioning in a healthy way, they manage to get tremendous personal satisfaction out of leading or contributing to a team. The ultimate kick for them is the gratitude on the faces of those who benefit from their work, and in this respect they are as interdependent as anyone else, perhaps even more so. Thus although they may appear to be strong, independent types, they are in fact somewhat needy and hungry for appreciation. They generally show little interest in causes that do not directly involve people, for it is the human element which is vital to their outlook and work.

Rarely do October 5 people meld with their environment, despite their need to immerse themselves in human activities. Often they will occupy a position for which they would objectively seem completely unsuited, like someone who has to wear the wrong uniform. However, when highly successful, October 5
people may actually redefine the public's image of the role which they play, so powerful are their social instincts. Even those with only a modest degree of success tend to function in a unique way that raises a few eyebrows but gets the job done.

October 5 people must be very careful to avoid ego trips where their personality becomes a central focus, ultimately superseding their ideals and original purpose. Also their criticism and judgment of others, particularly of what went on before they came on the scene, cannot be allowed to get out of hand. Thus October 5 people must not only form their principles in opposition to what they despise but mold a constructive vision of life as they wish it to be.

===
Told you it was depressing. I don't wanna hang around with anyone like that! Hmmm, I was born 10 days early, maybe that's it! LOL
:::clutching at straws:::

I need a drink now...and no, self-denial ain't my style.

I'm only going to post the relevant parts, that i find most close to how I am.

The more intellectual of March 13 people are attracted to philosophy, spiritual teachings, theoretical speculations and scientific or analytical systems; they tend to worship the human mind and what it is
capable of producing, yet reserve an even higher awe for the Universe of which it is only a small part.

This is so much like me. I do love seeing how peoples minds work (for a while I was interested in being a Psych Major ). I love learning about spiritual teachings and other religions, and I love science (i would have stayed a science major but i am horrible at math!). I do find so much awe and wonder in the Universe. I love finding sites that talk about extra solar planets, space phenomena, etc.

Because of their
fatalism, March 13 people of both sexes are able to accept the blows of fate
without complaint and go on to lead highly creative and productive lives.

This is me also. I dont complain about bad situation. I dont lament about how little money I have, and i dont worry too much about where it will come from. If something sets me back, i brush myself off and push on and dont dwell on it.

Personal evolution and growth is something that is built into the basic
fabric of the March 13 personality, so that almost all people born on this
day progress in an evolutionary fashion without much choice in the matter.

Favorite line: There is
something of the oracular about much of what March 13 people say.

I'll post mine in a nutshell:
What it boiled down to is that I tend to try too hard, and get frustrated when things don't go right. But once I relax, I catch on, things just "click". Very true...I learn by doing...I think of what I'm doing way too much, and I've always found that if I don't dwell on the "whys" and "how comes" then I understand it more. I also get upset when others don't try as hard as I do.

I also don't have much talent. :P to that! I defy anyone here to give a good haircut like I can! (see next paragraph)

Oh yeah...I also tend to be conceited and think of others as "little ants". So get out of my face or I'll step on you!

Other than that, I'm wonderful! Gee, when I proofread this it sounded like there's nothing good about me! Have you all got that impression of me by my posts? (say "no")

OK, here goes.

Frankd6
November 11th

The complex individuals born on November 11 often present a bright, even cheerful
appearance which belies their depth as well as their turbulent, troubled and
secretive natures.
Powerful in controlling their environment, those born on this day stake their possessive claim on whatever people, material objects or activities are important to them. Their contact with their dark side paradoxically fuels their humor and gives them what it takes to generate a sense of fun (as is
true with most good comics).

Those born on this day are natural family people, protectors of the roost and providers
who like nothing betterthan to
position themselves right at the center of a family occasion or outing.

Usually they have a talent for organization that lends structure to any professional organization or social group in which they find themselves.
November 11 people are physically magnetic and know full well how tomake use
of their attractive powers. However, the flip side of their magnetic nature
is seen in their falling under the spell of other magical figures. Both men
and women born on this day generally have a well developed masculine-feminine
balance in their personalities. For this reason they usually make friends
equally well with both sexes. However, November 11 men must be careful of
their macho tendencies
and November 11 women of being alternately
overcontrolling and overcontrolled.
Those born on this day are able to voice their opinions in a most seductively
convincing manner. They instinctively know how to get their way, sometimes
alternating between aggressive and passive tactics with telling effect. They
are also able to rein in their energies, to sit and to wait.
Unfortunately, waiting my mean procrastinating for November 11 people when
pressing decisions need to be made. They also have a marked tendency to
brood, which can lead to inaction and depression. Part of the problem for
Nov. 11 people is that there sometimes seems to be a war going on between
their inner and outer selves. Friends may stare with amazement as agifted
Nov. 11 person's talents, ambition and career just seem to fade away into
misuse and neglect. Often those born on this day are individuals seemingly
destined for great accomplishments but instead sink into obscurity, primarily
because of insidious fears and an intense need for security.
For this reason
they must develop their willpower and sense of form and structure topropel
themselves forward. Extended periods of time spent directionless inevitably
result in frustration and repressed, volcanic danger, which can explode in
the face of those dearest to them at almost any time. However, when those
same Nov. 11 people feel a sense of overall purpose, they can handle
temporary setbacks and disappointments and their temper rarely rears its head.

Numbers & Planets
Those born on the 11th of the month are ruled by the number 2 (1+1=2),and by the
Moon. Those ruled by the number 2 often make good coworkers and partners,
rather than leaders. Imaginative and graceful qualities are enhancedby the
influence of the Moon, and both Pluto and Mars (ruler and co-ruler of
Scorpio, respectively) supply power and force. However, these sameplanets
also highlight the explosive anger and potentially manipulative tendencies of
November 11 people. The number 11 lends a feeling for the physical plane
(for November 11 people, sexuality, due to the influence of Pluto) as well as
a possible interest in doubles of various kinds: coincidences, twins,
symmetry, mirror images, etc.

How much of this stuff could apply to anybody?

January 20th

Those born on 1/20 are intensely alive individuals who are very comfortable
following their impulses wherever they lead. The capacity to make snap
decisions and act on them is highly characteristic of people born on this
day. Improvisatory rather than painstaking, they take life as it comes, no
matter how chaotic or upsetting it is, they feel they can handle it. Their
own internal state is often chaotic as well, although they miraculously
impart an orderliness to their work, most often due to technical ease in
their particular medium.

Humor figures prominently in the makeup of these vibrant people. The most
dire circumstances are often alleviated, lightened by their ready wit. But
such a fine sense of irony also serves to protect a profound inner
sensitivity. Though they are fond of jokes and will even play the fool
themselves if it suits them, they are very proud individuals who take
themselves very seriously indeed.

January 20 people have a deeply human quality which endears them to their
family and friends. Despite the fact that they display a nasty temper and
are sharply outspoken in their views, they are quickly forgiven by others,
for there is no malice in their outbursts. Because of their love of fun they
may be taken for superficial, except by those who really know them. Actually
1/20 people often lead a highly private, even secret life, and share their
hopes and dreams with but a few intimates. Most 1/20 people are by nature
big-hearted, and therefore share without a second thought. However, later
they may well feel a bit put upon if they find the other party unworthy of
their generosity.

Although not always in the best of health, 1/20 people are highly resilient
physically, emotionally and mentally, and capable of surviving many
catastrophes in their lives. Somehow they always seem to pull through,
buoyed by an incurable optimism. Although they are generally on the side of
the underdog and have strong protective sympathies, 1/20 people can
themselves be very dictatorial, a role for which they are hardly suited.
They are not particularly adept at forcing others (including their children)
to obey the rules they set down, and perhaps because their own freewheeling
style implies a kind of disregard for such restriction, others don't take
their authoritarianism seriously.

Emotional, expressive and caring, these larger-than-life people may have
glaring faults and make many mistakes of judgment, but do so with a singular
absence of malice. Their insistence on a positive attitude toward life, and
their courage and stick-to-it-iveness are an example to others.

Don't mean to burst everyone's bubble, but on average the chance that no one on this message board shares your birthday is approximately 0.00066 (unless you were born on Feb 29th, in which case the probability is 0.16). In fact, on average, 7 people will share your birthday. I love looking at those things and seeing how well I identify with them especially now that I've seen James Randi's demonstration. See http://www.science.mcmaster.ca/Psych.../randi.99.html . From the site:
Quote:
Another example of flexible interpretation was given in the horoscope demonstration on the video; people overwhelmingly rated their "personalized" horoscopes as very or extremely accurate, despite them all being the same

It's interesting how most are agreeing with the positive or neutral and disagreeing the negative or unflattering!

That's certainly what I would have expected though. Thanks for not letting me down!

On October 29, 1961 I was born.

On October 30, 1961 Nikita Krushchev made his first public denunciation of Stalinism, an action many see as the first step in the eventual collapse of Communism in the Soviet Union.

While I don't feel I deserve all the credit for ending the Cold War, I think the cause and effect here is obvious.

I began reading this post, curious as to what the passage for my birthday said. Well, imagine my surprise when I discover that I happen to share a July 1st birthday with none other than ChrisCTP. I will now go contemplate the meaning of this latest development...
