Or at least, I finally hit the register button to experience the joy of posting on the SDMB instead of merely lurking and reading the fascinating threads everybody comes up with around here. Hopefully I myself will be able to contribute to some of those threads, and maybe come up with a few myself.
Few details about myself, since I didn’t see a better place to introduce myself than mundane pointless stuff .
Currently a junior at the University of Florida having gone from a Software Engineering major with the Eng. department through the Computer Science business major and am currently pursuing a combined degree intending to get a bachelor in Decision Information Sciences but more importantly a master’s in Supply Chain Management. In particular I’m interested in the applications of the emerging technology of RFID being applied to retail and supply operations. In my previous majors I intended variously to go in to Game Design, in particular Artificial Intelligence and as a corollary robotics, all of which I’m still interested in.
Game design in particular, for any gaming nerds out there, I was semi-famous in the warcraftIII mapping community for the map Custom Hero Arena under the name Slayerdragon (this will make sense to you if you’re part of the community, if not, well… guess it won’t matter anyways!)
Since I’ve been lurking for a bit now, I intend to pretty much jump in at the deep end so I figured I’d get all the intro stuff out of the way here.
Don’t be afraid to smack me if I say something stupid.
