Window is not generally thought of to be flat and square. Sicilian pizza, while flat and square...well to be honest, I would never have thought of that myself and it makes me doubt it'd be on a 12-answer poll. Post-it notes...hmm....these days, not always square so twix may not have thought of those. All the ones on my desk are rectangular. Postage stamps aren't square (close, but not square). Not trying to knock my teammates - just trying to reason out our "best" answer

Okay, I'm having a problem with some definitions here. A pizza box, to me, is not flat. Square, to be sure, but flat not so much.
Someone said a postage stamp was not square. Huh? Yes, it is. And yet it was not in the answers. A stamp is certainly flatter than a pizza box. Weird. It doesn't really matter since it's just a game, but since I've been bitching to my husband I figure I should bring my qualms here where this all began and give him some peace.

A_E_S -- sorry you don't like my answers. I think it was clear (after the first round I handled) that my questions and answers are all a trifle askew; when given the choice to dump be as emcee, the majority seemed to be willing to continue to play with me running the game regardless.
On your specific questions: Most stamps are rectangular, though some are close to square and a few are square. (I have two different books of stamps in my wallet at the moment -- both are rectangular.) Overall, not, though. Re: Pizza box -- all the answers given are three-dimensional objects, though most are under an inch, if not under a half-inch. How thick should something be before it's "not flat"? One could argue that a pizza box, though a trifle thicker than a Sicilian pizza, is an even plane, and thus "flatter" than the bumpy surface of the latter. Or not. Again -- sorry you don't like my answers -- this is how the game is being played at the moment, though. And WE? -- only a couple people have weighed in with an opinion, and they all seem to want to wait till I get back. So -- what do people think -- play till Thursday then take a break while I'm in Europe, or hand the game over to WE? while I'm gone? |
