Okay, rather than fix that I'll let it stand except to point out that "insidious retardations" isn't a phrase. Insidious means "designed to entrap; full of wiles. Causing harm" which would have made a very interesting statement about our posts. But then you added "retardations" which means "to hinder the advance or course of; impede; delay" so you are saying that our posts are "causing harm and hinder the advance" of what a "good post" should be. Which, doesn't add up to much. It makes somewhat more sense after I have broken it down but still doesn't add up to much coming from you. I sincerely doubt you knew the meanings of those two words until I spelled them out for you. I am compelled to ask if the aforementioned is true, then why did you post? If we have no room to talk then why are you bothering to talk to us? If you can post a meaningful topic then, please, do. I know it will take all your skill to do it but I can believe. The problem wasn't the intelligence of the questions you asked, or the self esteem of the people who "live" here.
The problem was that you walked into a party and immediatly challenged those present with a series of pointless tests, to see if the party was worthy of your participation. Unfortunately, as the world has many intelligent, and well mannered, people, the questions you raised had been answered before. Your unjustified rudeness and presumption offended people. I am suprised that you can not recognize the effect your lack of insight caused. If you walk into any group of people, in person or online, and attempt to make them pass tests of your devising before you will grace them with your presence, don't be suprised if they somehow pass up the treat. If you made a blooper, the answer is a civil apology. I made a bad joke which offended people, but it is amazing how generously everyone accepted the apology and gave me a second chance. I suggest you try the same. If you want to join a community of intelligent people, it is a grave error to patronize them or underestimate that intelligence. They do not have to prove themselves to you; you, by your own contributions, have to prove yourself to THEM. Having recently joined the fun and frivolity of the SDMB, I have to say that sitting back and watching Kilroy and Palidors succeed in looking less intelligent than small woodland creatures is kind of fun. I only ask that you two quit sending your incessant and nonsensical ramblings. Do something slightly more valuable with your time.....inhaling more paint fumes, sitting alone in a dark room, and realizing that the shining moments of your lives are probably past and weren't that great to begin with.
