HOWTO Change File SID on my D:

I just used Ghost to restore a factory image of a computer's D: partition.
I left the C: partition intact.
Because the SID for the system is randomly assigned at boot time, the SID associated with the files on my D: filesystem no longer matches what is found on the OS partition.
Is there any way to set the SIDs for the files on the D: partition to the proper SID?
Is there any reason to do so?
