Bacon Salt

I learned about this five minutes ago. Four minutes and thirty seconds ago, I placed my first order.

I'd like to officially welcome my new, bacony overlords. I've always wanted to try a bacon milkshake....

It's kosher-certified, so Jews and Muslims could eat it and enjoy the great taste of bacon?

Wow. I think it was less than a minute from when I read the original post to clicking to complete the purchase transaction. I'm so excited that I'm beside myself.

If we find out Asimovian is getting a kick-back from these guys, do we kick his ass or congratulate him on a sound selling paradigm?

I may be a Straight Dope member, but I simply don't have the genius necessary to bring something like this to market. I thank my lucky stars that I'm smart enough to recognize their genius in producing it!

I wonder if I can get a referral fee, though.

I can go buy some in person.
I think I'll do that soon.

Plus, since it's kosher, it takes away one of my stumbling blocks to conversion there's still the whole believing in Jesus thing. But with this - I'd be halfway to solving the bacon cheeseburger problem

I bought the 3 pack.

I became kind of obsessed with salts after sampling a bunch from Salt Traders. The Danish Viking Smoked Salt really is amazing stuff.

And mmmmm, bacon.

I like these guys. And god help me, I could not resist placing an order for the three pack...

Oh. Oh my goodness.

I may have to reconsider my atheism, for this is strong proof for the existence of a loving God.

When y'all get your orders, please, please bump this thread to report your tasting results. This seems almost too good to be true, and I need some firsthand reportage before I go and buy a hundred bottles of this stuff.

I think it's safe to say that these two gentlemen are the greatest inventors of all time.

I prefer to add bacon to foods that would benefit from the addition of bacon. Since, however, there are times that it's just not possible, I have purchased the "Hickory" version.

I wish I'd invented this!

Got the sampler, but I didn't know the shipping would take 1-3 weeks! Why do you mock me, oh Lord?!

When it arrives....yesss...bacon salted mashed potatoes, bacon salted cheese fries, bacon salted rice, bacon salted bacon...

Also, they have a recipe for bacon salted baked salmon that sounds tasty, I'll definitely try that as well.

Slight threadjack here - thinly sliced tofu fried in soy sauce or tamari makes a passable vegetarian bacon. Try it!

I *SO* need to hear reviews...

What is it with bacon?? It is the culinary equivalent of Marilyn Monroe or something - on the white-trashy side of things, but you can't NOT start drooling at the thought of...um...taking a bite?

Well, that analogy didn't get me anywhere, did it?

or, to quote Cervaise: bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon

And I wonder if these guys aren't going to be a victim of their own success. Based on the stampede in this thread alone, they're gonna have to produce supertankers of this stuff every single week to keep up with demand. Just watch the estimated shipping times on the website start to climb...

Bacon and beer, IMHO were made for each other....

Jake, sorry, but we are in Pittsburgh. The other night, I must have eaten 2lbs of Bacon. They also do a wicked pork shank.

I'm ordering some of the salt and am going to blow their minds.
