Finish the lyrics to "We Didn't Start the Fire" by Billy Joel

My SO was jamming to Billy Joel’s greatest hits the other day, and I was reminded of this great song.

What’s always bothered me about that riff, though, is that it ends in the 1980s; it’s an unfinished song. What are the next verses?

Here’s my verse for the 90’s…

George Michael with his hand
Garth Brooks video banned
SSG Schwartz

Monica with a nasty stain
Oklahoma City’s pain

Eddie Veder Kurt Cobain,

Oklahoma City’s Pain

It takes a village, Columbine

Internet goes online

From the year of my birth, 1987

Simpson’s Family in 2D
Jesse Jackson in DC

Zelda wasn’t just a game.
Prozac starts to numb our pain.

Mr. Dwyer Lost it All
Reagan’s Bringing Down the Wall

Christie dumped my stupid butt
This song proved I’m in a rut

Crashed my car into a house
Shitty lyrics from a souse

George H. Bush starts Contra-gate
Saddam tries to assassinate

Bin Laden takes the Towers down
Moore points to the Saudi Crown

Dubya vows to pay him back
Sends the troops into Iraq

IMHO, TMI, when come back, bring back pie
chick tracts, mod hats, Gaudere’s Law

winter of our missed content, cows on the minivan
guests come, troll threads, sock puppet, train wrecks

There was actually an attempt at this a couple of years ago on these very boards. My entry and the We Didn’t Go to Harvard parody link.

I’m sorry, you must have mistaken this thread for a toilet.

Bathroom’s down the hall.
