Should we tax fat people?

  1. Fat people are gross. We should discourage their disgusting appearance.

  2. Fat people are less healthy. They should be encouraged to lose weight for their own good.

  3. If we ever get national health care fat people will cost more.

  4. Americans have a bad image in the world as a country of fatties. This needs to be addressed.

So how about we start taxing the fat people? A good system would to require people to pay $300 for every percentage point they are over a standard - 14% for men, 35% for woman. To be fair people should be given 1 year to get down to the proper percentage.

Sorry, that should be 25% for women.

Hmm, yes, the 35% does seem too high.

I think we should tax stupid people. I mean it is their fault. They could take a class or read a book.

  1. Stupid people are well stupid. We should tie them in a chair and force them to read a book

  2. Stupid people die in stupid ways. They should be encouraged to never go outside for their own good.

  3. If we ever get national health care stupid people will cost more. I mean they do cause stupid accidents

  4. Americans have a bad image in the world as a country of idiots. This needs to be addressed.

So how about we start taxing the stupid people? A good system would to require people to pay $300 for every percentage point they are under the standard IQ. 25% for men or women. To be fair stupid people should be given 1 post to get down to the proper percentage

so if youre morbidly obese and have no income, how are they gonna get all those 1000’s of dollars out of you?

But, aren’t an awful lot of emergency room visits caused by stupidity in the home?! We’ll have to make special asylums for the stupid, complete with padded everything, and spoonfeed them the recommended amounts of safe foods at the proper times, making sure they don’t drown on their safety approved beverages.

I personally cannot sleep until my local MP has come and tucked me in at night.

Indentured servitude and professional wrestling!

1 : Skinny people are often vegetarians. Vegetarianism has a known correlation with speaking German and invading Poland, and should be discouraged.

2 : Diets make people grumpy, and grumpy skinny people are more likely to beat up people with axe handles than cheerful fat people who don’t want to let go of their Big Mac to do so.

3 : Skinny people are more likely to catch you.

4 : People are irritating. Extremely fat shut-ins can’t get out to bug you, and die and get out of the way earlier.

5 : When Peak Oil, Global Warming, the End Times, and illegal immigration all combine to bring doom, fat people are better eating for when the food runs out.

Therefore, obviously being skinny should be discouraged. I suggest a $100 year-end bonus for every pound over the citizen’s medically ideal weight, and a $100 penalty for every pound under added to a basic charge of $1000 a year for everyone at or under their ideal weight.

Fat people would die earlier and require less medical care in their old age

Where did you get this correlation with speaking German, Germany is really a meat country and know for their sausages (wursts)?

Hitler is thought to have been a vegetarian, and some Nazi Aryan mysticism promoted it (I think from Wagner).

Thanks

As said, Hitler was supposedly a vegetarian. Something that is often pointed out either to slam vegetarians, mock their claims that being vegetarian automatically morally superior, or to illustrate that correlation does not necessarily indicate causation.

And that post wasn’t exactly one hundred percent serious.

Yes I think it’s (hopefully) safe to say this entire thread is not 100% serious. I just didn’t understand where that came from.

  1. Smokers are gross. We should discourage their disgusting habbit.

  2. Smokers are less healthy. They should be encouraged to quit for their own good.

  3. If we ever get national health care smokers will cost more.

  4. Smokers have a bad image in the developed world. They need to be more concerned with their image.

So how about we start taxing the Smokers? A good system would to require people to pay $5 for every cigarette they smoke. To be fair people should be given 1 year to quit.

  1. America should be the sexiest country in the world.

  2. Men and women with below average endowments are dragging us down.

  3. You can see where this is going.

Two and a Half Inches of Fun, point #1 in the OP is clearly trolling and regardless whether the overall concept has value as a debate, this thread is now too poisoned to remain open.

You will avoid this behavior in the future.
