CoD 4 on the 360, any Dopers playing?

Just checking in to see if any dopers are playing CoD4 on the 360, specifically online. My gamer tag is the same as my Dope name. I'm on nightly, usually after 8 CST.

I'm 37 at the moment. Not all that good at the game, but trying hard.

Well, I'm 33 and trying hard too. I don't go online much because I tend to get wasted within seconds.

I'm playing COD4 single player and love it. There's something particularly excellent about the way it makes you feel like you are a small part of a team just doing your bit in the battle, but at the same time the flow of the battle hinges on your performance. If you get bogged down behind some cover and can only pick off the odd enemy without moving forward, then none of your allies move forward either, once you get yourself around for a flanking manoeuvre you find your allies are ready to meet up with you.

I play a little, every now and then. I'm pretty terrible, at least I appear to be, judging by every single other player in that game. Not a game goes by where I'm not astonished that I was head-shotted from 60 meters away while the enemy was sprinting.

I did Prestige mode once. When I get to 55 again, I don't think I'll do it again. I don't mind getting everything back, but I think I'd like to max everything out, just for the hell of it.

I just picked it up Saturday, but I haven't had time to set up my account yet.

I think all the wives and girlfriends of my friends who have the game need to form a COD4 War Widows Support Group so they can all complain to each other how their men have turned the living room into a Jerry Bruckheimer movie.

That was fun. At one point, I had a helicopter up and another helicopter up right after it.


...And I'm even better at Halo 3.

I tried to get on tonight but whoever is sapping my bandwidth made it nearly impossible. I didn't get booted from any of the three games I tried to play but I consistently had a yellow latency rate that occasionally sunk into red. This is pissing me off. Anybody know of a way to combat this?
