Psh whatever its not like anything inside the cup has a chance to go bad. People worry to much about that kind of thing. How often do you think the door handles and elevator buttons get sanitized?
How was the sex? That’s why you went, right? Why would anyone go for any other reason? 
I stayed in one back in 2003; the small-town university where I was doing a weeklong visiting-lecturer gig put me up there.
It was fine.
The last one I stayed at had what I fondly call “exploding toilets”. They were those low-flow ones with some kind of power assist and sounded like something approaching an atom bomb at 2:14 am.
Please share, did they get rid of the exploders?
Surprisingly enough i did have have the need for one.
Holiday Inn Express provides shrink-wrapped, disposable cups instead of the glass ones that never get cleaned. Also, they have switched to pure white bedding, including the comforters, so if there are any scary stains they won’t be hidden. I have had nothing but great experiences staying at HIE, though I admit the toilets do flush VERY loudly.

I’ve stayed in the Holiday Inn Express near Times Square in Causeway Bay Hong Kong. Didn’t realize they have cool ads. Mine was small and had pretty loud street noises, but that’s pretty standard for HK
