We had a visitor last night.

We were outside enjoying the cool evening when a stray dog came bounding up. He had a tag with a phone number so we called it. No one ever answered. We invited him in to spend the night, thinking the owners would call the next day. No one ever called.

Unfortunately, I had to let him loose this morning, and I hope he made his way home. I probably should have called the SPCA, but I had to get to work, and couldn’t leave him at my house. When I came home, he was nowhere to be found. I know I’ll get jumped on for letting him go free, but I did try to help him out.

This is Rooney. What a cutie-patootie. And my menagerie. I have one more dog not in that pic.

Dolores, you also have a truly beautiful smile. In fact, I believe that’s what they call “winsome”.

I like how all three of the dogs have their laser eyes on ‘ready’, just waiting to reduce the next intruder to ash.

Did he come with that collar? I just get the feeling he was traveling around the neighborhood, decided it was too late to go home & went there the next morning.

What a handsome furry family. Your collie looks like he/she was not happy about not being with Mama in the recliner.
Rooney looked really sweet. Some kind of Staffy or Pit mix, I suspect.

Why thank you, kind sir!

Yes - it had a tag with his name and (as it turns out) bogus phone number.

My sheltie (not collie) is super jealous of the recliner. But he’s too old and fat to get up there anymore. Poor guy. I make sure I spend time on the floor with him.

Rooney was definitely a pit mix. You should have seen his feet! I bet he was only a year or so old. Not neutered either. :frowning:
