I grew up on the old electric stovetops and only later was introduced to the (superior for cooking) gas range… but they WARNED me that if you leave it on, it could fill up the house and then explode.
I also saw an unsolved mysteries episode back in the day where a family left the gas on and it filled up the house and Robert Stack said that if the people had so much as turned on a lightswitch it would have blown up the building
So my question is, since there are so many stupid and careless people out there, and a good fraction of the country uses gas ranges, why dont you see more gas related fires, explosions, and mini disasters? Seems like people never leave the burners on?
