Lynx-friendly webmail?
Gmail used to work fine for me in Lynx, but for some reason, it doesn't anymore. I know I could just set mutt up to grab new mail from my Gmail account(s), but I'm curious: Are there any webmail services out there that are made for text-only browsers, or at least known for their Lynx-friendliness?
I would think someone out there would fill this niche, no? Last edited by Hostile Dialect; 09-06-2008 at 09:16 PM. |

My understanding is that a pure text-based interface is the basis for the interface that screen readers and such use, so if GMail or Yahoo Mail or whatever aren't usable through a Lynx-like browser, they don't conform to accessibility rules. Now, that may mean that the screen readers need to be able to do things like handle Java or Javascript, and I don't know whether Lynx does.
