computer question: IE bottom status bar has disappeared.

The bottom bar of my Microsoft Internet Explorer has disappeared.

I can no longer see the page loading progress and also mousing over a hyperlink no longer reveals just what the link is to, without this bar.

The latter absence is the most irritating.

The damn thing just vanished a while back, no idea why. Reboots have not restored it.

Anybody able to point me in the right direction to its restoration?

Right click in the toolbars area and select “status bar”
