Question for UK Dopers - Billy Bunter

UK Dopers,

My Dad has a copy of The Magnet #1 (some of you, I hope, understand what this is... if not, it is the first issue of the magazine containing the Billy Bunter stories and it is from 1908). It's in fairly good condition. Recently, he hit upon the idea of selling it but he has no idea what it is worth. I'm very worried he will sell it for too little because I think it would be worth a lot in the UK where the characters and stories are known.

Does anyone have any idea what something like that might be worth? I really don't want him to get cheated.

Off-Hand, I would suggest looking at the comics/collectables pages on E-Bay and Yahoo to see if you can spot something similar. There appear to be some pretty serious collectors there, so if I has something really valuable like that I would try and get an estimate of it's worth and then put it up for auction with a reserve price. Betcha there are a few Bunter fansites as well, try e-mailing them?
