Old Radio Station on West Side

When I lived on the West Side prior to late 1937 there was a radio station East of Madison Street and just west of Garfield Park and near the old Paradise theater.

Does anyone remember the call letters of that station?

I don't know about 1937. I do remember Ray Nordstrand, head honcho at WFMT, telling me when his station was started in the 1950s it broadcast from the Graemere Hotel, which I think was at 3400 W. Washington:

I suppose there could have been two stations in the same general area. I gather it was something of a jazz mecca at one time.

I remember the Graemere Hotel, but it was on the east side of Garfield park and the station in question was on the west side. No jazz but can't remeber the programming. I heard it on a simple crystal set with earphones.

Still looking for the Call Letters of the old AM radio station located west of Garfield Park and North of Madison Street near old Paradise Theater and Ballroom.
