Free Stairs?
This might be a stooopid question but...
I used to walk up and down 10 floors at a time at my previous place of employment in preparation for the Hustle Up the Hancock (I only did the "half" hike so don't be too impressed ), but I don't work there anymore. Is there any possibility of getting a similar workout at some public-access stairwell in Chicagoland? Finding access to stairs that go up a few floors might be easy, but I'm looking for as many floors at a time as possible.Or do I have no alternative but to pay for a health club membership? |

What about going the wrong way on a down escalator? You could do that at some of the EL stops in off hours I am guessing. People may look at you like you are crazy.

They might think I'm crazy anyway... But any CTA station deserted enough that I wouldn't be a hindrance to others would probably not be a place I want to hang out in.
Good thinking though! |
