What is this fixture on an institutional toilet? (pictures)

I saw this toilet in a bathroom at Boston University Medical Center, and it has a fixture on it that looks like a little shower head that pivots up and down from the water supply pipe at the back of the bowl. I thought it might be some sort of bidet, but when you pull it down into positon, the water sprays downward, into the bowl.

What is this for?

It’s used for rinsing out urinals, bedpans and bedside commode pots. Many hospital bathrooms have them and they are very handy for the purpose.

Thank you! I knew it had to be hospital specific, but that never occurred to me. Makes sense.
