Dopers that posted often and regularly and then just vanished without a trace.

Where did lobstermobster go?
I'm sure she's just one of an easy hundred that have done this...posted often and then just suddenly wasn't there anymore.

Anyone else you'd like to add to the list?

What about that kid with the ladle? I can't even remember his name but he posted a hell of a lot. I know he went to Japan for...something...but they got Internets in Japan.

He migrated over to domebo and was very active there for a while but then he vanished with barely a word again.

She posted about her wedding just a few weeks back. I'd imagine the whole relationship/wedding thing has kept her offline more than normal too.

FormerMarineGuy. He was a "swinger" and he and his wife would have sex orgies with other people. He just vanished without a trace. I wonder if he died?

I wonder if Lobstermobster did, by the same token. I mean it's steady posting, steady posting, steady posting...and then just stops suddenly and never returns.

I keep thinking of others.

I haven't seen freakalette (I don't think I spelled that right) for a while. I sometimes confuse her name with my own in one of those, "Wait, I don't remember posting in this thread" kind of moments.

Mouse Maven also seemed to drop off the face of the earth. I've often wondered if she ended up finding another lab position somewhere.

The original domain had been flagged as a 'social site' by webcrawlers and so was blocked for a lot of the members. The site was moved to a different server and a new name was chosen. If I remember right.

Fishbicycle. A couple of years ago, he just stopped. I can't remember exactly when, but it may have been around membership renewal time and he could have decided not to re-up. Anyway, threads in the Cafe about music haven't been the same since.

Probably not, but I found their using this board as a recruiting ground annoying -- and that was before I became a mod.

Geobabe and UncleBill came to a Philly Dopefest in April, with the twins -- they're all doing well. Living in NJ currently, if you hadn't heard that.

Rand Rover dropped way off since about mid-August, though that's not such a long time to say he's "disappeared."

Whatever happened to Hostile Dialect (formally fetus) and L'il Pluck?

I am good friends with him; I'm pretty sure he has abandoned this board for good. I think he might post on domebo sometimes (I'm not even sure what that is.) He spent a long time in Catalonia, Spain. Now he is back in San Diego.

Who was the Christian guy from Vegas that talked about his violent past and seemed to know a lot about prison life?

He would blow up on occasion, but seemed like someone who was really trying to turn his life around, and I enjoyed reading his posts............
