Anyone else watch the new Kelsey Grammer show? That was painful. Did they spend so much money on his salary that they couldn't hire writers? The laugh track was also incredibly intrusive.

I watched about half of it and had to change it. It was awful. Exactly the kind of cliched, laugh tracked, family sitcom that I thought had pretty much died out already. It was like a sitcom from the fake promos in the corner of the screen in that SNL sketch. I would predict that it won't last six episodes, but somehow crap like like ''Til Death" and "The war At Home" hung around and around despite sucking hard, so who knows? I just know I satisfied my already anemic curioisty about it and don't expect to watch it again.

It blew. We already knew Frasier (yes, Kelsey Grammer is typecast, but he wasn't complaining when he cashed all those paychecks) did not like being in the company of anyone, especially children. They could've played on the obvious a lot less cute. HE'S BEEN ON TV FOR 20 YEARS! ESTABLISH IT AND MOVE ON INTO FUNNY TERRITORY AND LET THE PEOPLE WHO ARE UNFAMILIAR CATCH UP, SINCE THEY ARE IN THE MINORITY!

Somehow, Grammer's acting style and personality truly only fit Frasier. With all other characters, he just seems boorish and obnoxious. Poor Kelsey- definitely pigeon-holed for life.

Yeah...it was pretty bad. Frasier is one of my all time favorite shows, so I was somewhat excited to see Grammer try again. Too bad they couldn't get the writers from Frasier. It was just horrendously written.

We lasted about 12 minutes. It was awful. The poor, pitiful house they had to move into. All it needed was a coat of paint. Now if they had him moving into a 40 year old singlewide in a pasture--that would have been better. Sorta like a "Green Acres" premise. Suck-o!

I thought he was a lot of fun in Down Periscope, but that wasn't exactly some powerful acting there.

Yeah, we were supposed to sympathize with the downsizing of their lifestyle, but since we never saw what they were like before, and since the house they moved into didn't seem that bad (it's pretty big, that's for sure!), none of it made an impression.

It seems like they want to keep casting Grammar as a superciliious blowhard (he was an egotistical anchorman in his last short-lived series), but pushing a familiar a "type" is not enough to sustain a series--especially when the rest of his immediate family is completely unmemorable.

Come to think of it, how much of that is his backup? Frasier almost comes across as a regular guy compared to Niles, and on CHEERS he of course had Cliff to outdo him as a self-satisfied know-it-all while Lilith and Diane split the "pretentious snob" duties as needed. Without something like that for context, he defaults to being the most unsympathetic guy in an episode, smugly condescending from on high.

No matter how bad a sitcom is, it is very rare that I won't at least watch the entire first episode.

We turned off "Hank" after 20 minutes - and that was 19.5 minutes longer than we should have waited.

There was not a single, mildly amusing moment in this piece of crap. How anyone could have read this script and thought it was worth the time and effort to film it is mind boggling.

Kelsey has worked on two of the best sitcoms in television; he should have known better.

"Hank" is easily the worst sitcom ever to hit the airwaves.
