Trying to read some of these but the site goes really slow for me and new page requests keep timing out. Anyone else have that problem? Is there a mirror site or something?

Updates are posted on Sundays and it always bogs down the site. Try again in the middle of the week.

Thanks for posting this, Randy. I love it!
I shared it with a similarly warp-minded friend, who happens to be the sysadmin for the company that hosts the site. She said their hosting package is the lowest one available, hence the slow-assedness. Ah, well, whaddayawant for free? |

"Internal Server Error"
for 2 days this is all I can get. How do I get to the site? |

I just went to oglaf.com, and it loaded pretty quickly. Not instantly, but it only thought about it a few seconds.

Never mind, I just tried it on another computer and it loaded fine.

I just noticed that the email address for reporting tech problems at the site is tell.mistress@oglaf.com.

I hope we don't have to tell her the same way that Ivan has to.

![]() Judging by the Snow Queen's attire, she's perfectly comfortable in freezing temps, let's say 0deg F. Her body temp is also this low, judging by the effects on her lovers. If the average hot tub is 100deg F (I don't really know, but that sounds reasonable), she's jumping into something 100deg hotter than her body temp. That would be like jumping into near boiling water for us, which is the kind of thing you sue McDonald's over. So if the Queen is literally made out of Snow/Ice, she'll melt. If she's made out of cryo-matter, we're cooking her like a lobster. I personally like her bluish tint, so I can't advocate this method. While a little pain can be fun, I don't think the sensation of being boiled alive gets many women in the mood. ![]() Quote:

Well, the update is finally up, and I must say, that's an innovative solution. Is it really only two pages long? I feel like there should be a follow-up page or an epilogue.

The archive says there's 3 pages. But page 3 doesn't seem to be there.
Anyway...I totally called this one. |

Try opening the image in a new window.

Up until now the problem wasn't that the image was broken - there was no page for page 3. The Next Page link was greyed out, and entering the URL directly was a 404.
Which is what happens when attempting to open the image in a new tab. |

Page 3 loaded for me, but without the image. So I crtl-clicked on the broken image and opened it in the new window. Now when I hit Next Page, I get the image.
There's another broken image on page three, to the right of the comic and below the nav links. Opening that in a new window shows that it's an announcement: No strip next week! Next update May 16. |

Oglaf really needs to get a better hosting provider, or upgrade its hosting package. It's like their webserver is catching fire every Sunday when the whole damn internet tries to see the latest comic.

I wonder if there's a special strip on the horizon. Cooper is taking a week's break. And counting the epilogue strips, the next strip will be the 100th.

Today's new one, "Labyrinth."
The best part, IMHO, was the description on the Archive page: "Less dirty than the Jim Henson version" This is true. I had nightmares about David Bowie's crotch for years after seeing that movie. |

And here. And over here. And here (uuh...theoretically). Also, probably here.
And I may be wrong, but I've always assumed Kronar is the leader of his people. Last edited by Kamino Neko; 05-25-2010 at 10:38 AM. |

I don't get today's offering. I mean, I get the changeling's swapped places with the human baby, obviously, but it seems as if there should be... more.

It's that the changeling was crying and the parents thought it was their baby.
Mildly amusing, but not very deep or ironic or sarcastic or anything. A bit weak. |

That when babies cry a lot, it's because they're really homesick changlings?
Definitely weak. |

I thought it was explaining why babies are always crying -- crying babies are actually dejected changelings. Which implies that pretty much every baby that ever existed has been swapped for a changeling.

I don't think this is supposed to be the punchline. I'm guessing it's a two page joke, and this is just page one.

New one! It's a 2-pager.
I thought it was ging to turn out to be spam mail. But the real joke is better.
