I think the joke is supposed to be that the Swordmaster is a nut. He gives advice that makes no sense - it's a parody of the fantasy movie cliche about mentors who teach their proteges through confusing lessons that have a hidden meaning that makes sense. In the Swordmaster's case, his confusing lessons are just nonsense.

Specifically, the Swordmaster told his student to prepare for a fight by spending a month masturbating over a picture of his opponent - which is a crazy idea for winning a fight. The punchline is that the Swordmaster now plans on beating his student - so he is going to spend a month first masturbating over a picture of his student.

Trying to make rational sense out of the Swordmaster's lessons won't work. They're supposed to be irrational. It would be like trying to make sense out of Sandoval's desire to turn Ivan into a boat.

This is my first time having seen this comic. The weirdest part of it was the water she was pouring over her head. To me, the viscosity and opacity of the water looks like the artist was more used to drawing other fluids.
