I'm not talking about foliage quantity - it's quality that's important.

Note how in #22, the greenery obtrudes into the subject of the photo. Also, it's just all over the place - there's simply no form or structure to it. In #26, viewers can't fail to be impressed by the subtle way in which the cheese plant in the foreground complements the subject, softening the features and showing it in such a favourable light.

I'm going to put your comment down to 'artistic differences', but further adverse comments concerning the foliage in #26 will be severely frowned upon.

With all this talk about beards, what surprised me is that we had no photos of anyone smoking. Well, finally that has been changed! We have a pipe! And dogs, carriages, people in costume, musicians, artwork, and all kinds of other neat stuff that you can see here!

The first one I sent you, actually, was the one that was retouched (heavily de-saturated.) The one now is how the picture originally appeared. I decided I liked the original better.

Thanks for putting this together Arnold! It's really fun to see how close my mental pictures of everyone are (or not). I also appreciate the trouble you've taken making sure that the pictures look just right, that there's a link to people's profile, etc. I keep thinking I'll run into someone I know offboard.
