Olivia Wilde has a freakishly large head

Proof here and here and here.

I don't know who she is or anything, but her picture leaped out of Parade magazine and grabbed me by the throat, so I had to share.

She is an actress, most well known for playing "Thirteen" on the TV show "House". Before that she was on "The O.C."

As for the large head, it's probably related to this:

In two of the pictures at the ends of your links that didn't work, she had her hair pulled back; perhaps that gave the illusion that her head was a little larger than normal.

[... a moment later]

Actually, I just did some searching on Google, and I concur. Her head does seem a little on the large side.

Rats. I spent half an hour looking for the pic. I couldn't find it on Parade's site, but I did on Getty Images: third row, second pic (#84250488).

Is that like Seven of Nine in Star Trek?

Agreed. It's typically the easiest way to tell if someone is too skinny - their head starts to look too big! see: the Olson twins for an example...

All good-looking celebrities look freakish in person. Michael Douglas has a HUGE head. There was a moment in Get Shorty when John Travolta and Rene Russo were seen silhouetted against a bright background; the back of his head is missing, and she seems to have acromegaly. The hotties on Buffy the Vampire Slayer are painfully thin in person, except for Amber Benson who looks awesome, but comes off a little chunky on the small screen.

Olivia Wilde has a big head? Okay. It made her a star.

Or maybe she has a portrait of herself in the attic where her head is freakishly small.

It's a Seinfeld reference, I think. Not that there's anything wrong with that!

Joel Achenbach and Gene Siskel have said that many big stars happen to have physically large heads... something about they draw the eye onscreen and you have to look at them. Gene Siskel showed a shot of Clint Eastwood standing at the back of a group of people in one of the Dirty Harry movies and pointed out that his head was as big as the heads of anyone at the front of the group.

Humphrey Bogart and Tom Cruise have this physical characteristic, too - smallish-to-medium height, slender build and proportionately large head.
