Re former Chicago stores
In my family (not anywhere near Winnetka-type income) Abercrombie' s was referred to as VL&A, earlier named Von Lengerke and Antoine. Not sure of the spelling of the two names - it was a long time ago. Our Sunfish came from there. The boat is over 47 years old and still sailable.
