The cutest school play EVER!

It’s a youtube video. I don’t want to spoil it, so I won’t say what the play is, but seeing these adorable moppets dressing up like adults and putting on a fancy school play (recreating the final scene of a well-known story) just warms the cockles of my heart.
Warning: cute overload.

Are you stalking my facebook? lol

I just posted this video this morning, motherfudger.

Their version of The Last Tango In Paris is eagerly anticipated in some quarters.

This is both adorable and horrifying.

Mostly horrifying.

I would dearly love to know where this play was performed - wouldit have been at a public school or private school? Or maybe the children were being home schooled. (the title of the video says “School Play”).

On another note, I’m not sure why they used popcorn on the desk instead of flour or sugar.

That is…that is…

Fudge you, Arnold, fudge you with my little friend!

There’s a yearly show on in the UK called “The Big Fat Quiz of the Year.” One of the regular segments they have is kids from the Mitchell Brook Primary School acting out news stories from the year, and the panels have to guess what they’re acting out.

Here’s an example, and the only one I can find online at the moment. It’s hilarious because the kids are bad actors (obviously) and the subject matter is often way over their heads.

Very cute videos indeed

You don’t need an excuse for popcorn.

This articlesays the play is not an actual school play and that it was directed by Mark Klasfield who also does Lady Gaga videos. The play was probably produced in LA, but the YouTube user listed Bartonville, IL as their hometown which has caused parents in that area to get up in arms.

Thank you HelloNinja for casting a cloud over the bright spot of my day. Another heart-warming story crushed by the iron hammer of the debunkers. :frowning: Are we about to reach the point where even reality is photoshopped?

Well, is it really that much less heartwarming? Those are still little kids and they’re still doing Scarface, right? Does it matter if it’s an elementary school in suburban Chicago or the Lady Gaga director that staged it?

I first found it on snopes–they had a thread on it today. Agree. It’s adorable. I don’t know what that says about us, but it’s sweet.

I LOVE BFQOTY.

Both videos are adorable and disturbing.

Who doesn’t want young kids to get positive reinforcement and attention for cursing and thuggery, play acting out murder and mayhem?

Only in America, where all the schools and parents decry bullying, but put The Sopranos at the top of the charts.

Apparently there isn’t any such thing as ‘age appropriate’ any more.

I vote more disturbing than amusing.

Sorry to be a spoilsport, but I found it disturbing, too.

It’s cute and funny. I like the pile of popcorn for coke.

I thought the pile was Sugar Pops.

Shodan

Well, I should probably use smileys more, but I was being sarcastic. When I first saw the video, my reaction was “What was that school thinking?” I would not allow children of that age (if there were mine) to participate in such a school play.

Now that I find it that these were all actors, pretending to have children in a school play for “shock effect”, I find the video less interesting. Or was it that these were parents in the film industry, putting on a play, and one of the parents decided that it would be funny to pretend on YouTube that it was a school play from an average suburban America town? In any case, if this was a school district putting it on, I would be more bothered than if it were a group of parents outside of school doing it on their own.

I…genuinely thought it was cute. Am I disturbed?
