What happened to my calendar/clock?

I have Windows Vista. There was a calendar and analog clock on the desktop. Now it's gone. I can't find it. Any help?

As I understand it Vista was morphed into Windows 7. Some where there is a search function to either locate and/or turn the date/clock back to it original status.

Vista..

You must've turned "Windows Sidebar" off. You need to turn it back on.
