Have the town hellers been out this summer?

I can't recall having seen footage of people yelling at town hall meetings this summer. You'd figure with this being an election year they'd be out in droves, but if they have they haven't been getting much publicity.
So are they still out there? Or have they just toned down their behavior?

The "hellers" (your terminology) are still out there....Lack of incidents has been more due to those that may draw their ire either not doing open meetings or just controlling events/restricting access to avoid confrontation.

Have there been the series of Town Hall Meetings like there were last year?

I haven't heard of any.

The people yelling at those meetings were upset about HCR, and the Democrats are running away from that issue this election cycle. How many of them are bragging about that legislation in their campaign stump speeches?

What makes you say that? More Democrats are highlighting health care reform in their campaign than any other issue (cite).

Actually, Cindy is still out there protesting but it's not a news item now because it's not aimed at GWB

I'm sure, in the Florida gubernatorial election, Alex Sink (D) isn't going to run away from it -- she can't, because opposing health-care reform is the chief interest of her opponent Rick Scott (R) (a former health-industry exec).

Cindy Sheehan stopped being a news item long before Bush left office. It really was a case of her 15 minutes being up.
