Are shows starting to throw a bone to 3D TVs
Twice recently on shows I noticed that they had a scene where someone threw something directly at the camera. On Desparate Housewives, it was a brownie and I saw something similar on another show that at the moment slipped my mind (may have been Community). It seemed strange because it wasn't something you normally saw so I wondered if it had something to do with 3D TVs.
Not knowing how 3D TVs work (Hell I just got my first HD TV a little over a week ago), I may be off base but it seemed strange I saw two similar things in the same week. |

Unless they've secretly started filming in 3D with plans to release a 3D version later, no.
So far, broadcast 3D viewable on 3D sets is very rare, and has mainly been used for sporting events. There will have to be a lot more penetration of 3D tech at the consumer level before they start producing prime time dramas in 3D. |
