Largest height gain in shortest amount of time?

Are there any studies that calculate the most height gained by a person in the shortest amount of time?
The reason for my asking is that when i was 13 years old I grew 12 inches in height in 35 days going from 5'4 to 6'4. I happened to be in the hospital during this time for an unrelated condition and the measurements were confirmed by the doctors. I had extreme pain in my hips and legs during the spurt as I grew.
People seem amazed whenever i mention this and i have never heard of anyone else growing 12 inches in a shorter amount of time. I realize that most accounts would likely be anecdotal and not scientific because nobody knows exactly when a growth spurt will occur but was wondering if there had been any research on the subject.

Sorry, no research results, although a good first step might be to check an old Guinness Book of Records (when the book still was worthwhile). Sure enough, growing 12" taller in a little over a month seems out of this world. Just imagine the massive amounts of nutrients needed to fuel getting a full inch taller every three days for a good while. If your description is accurate, we might just have a world record holder here.

ETA: acromegaly might explain such extreme growth.

yeah, the old guinness mentioned a man who, up to his teens, was a dwarf but suddenly grew in his 20s to become a giant. the rapid growth has weakened him so much he was bed-ridden for the rest of his life.

12 inches in 35 days is incredible.

The odd thing is that i never grew another inch after that spurt. I am still 6'4 at age 35. I also did not put on any weight during the growth. I went from being a little pudgy 5'4 weighing 148 pounds to a rail thin 6'4 at the same weight. I stayed that weight until college when i started packing on the weight.
I was in the hospital at the time for a stomach issue but i had orthopedic and other bone and muscle doctors come by during the spurt to examine me and said they had never seen anything similar. There was something about my hips they said that contributed to the growth. They were predicting that i would eventually grow to 6'8 or 6'9 but thankfully that did not happen. The other odd thing is that my family is all short. My Dad was 5'7, Mom is 5'6, and my brother is 5'9.
