Palazzo Inverso - great book for Escher fans!

We saw the original artwork from this book in small Vermont museum last summer - the book is well worth a look if you like M.C. Escher. In it, a topsy-turvy house is under construction and a little boy, an apprentice to the Master (who looks a lot like Escher), goes in and out of the house. When you get to the end of the book you turn it upside down and read the previously upside-down text on the top (now the bottom) of the page, bringing you full circle. Witty and charming.

I’ll keep a look out for that one! Although I don’t think I’d be able to prevent myself from reading both sections on each page. I probably wouldn’t do it on every page because I’d be conscious that I wasn’t supposed to; but probably every sixth or seventh out of habit. I’m just too used to scanning an entire page and upside down is even easier than backwards.
