I actually drove home trying to get to a Computer to see if I could post more after my phone died.
Ah well.
Vae Victis .

Fun Game, Pizza, not my usual style, but it was interesting none the less.
(You owe me a personal "Thank you" btw but not for anything that has to do with this game).

I'll shut up now and wait for the sunset....

I do indeed have a kind of posting restriction, that I must stay "in character" as a zombie, especially during the Day. Also, I must attack someone every Day, or I will die permanently. There's no restriction on who that attack must target, except that it must be "human."

I still have the same win condition, to eliminate all threats to the town. I kept my same class (soldier) and morality (good). I'd rather not reveal my alignment because I think it will make it easier for other people to attack me, but that has also not changed. I also kept my previous items.

I haven't received any new directives, and I honestly have no idea what will happen when the results of my Day attack are revealed. I'm guessing it's going to be a regular attack just like everyone else's.

Finally, at Night my character's "zombie" personality is not as dominant, which I have taken to mean I am less restricted by the zombie posting requirements. I don't know how or why I was zombified, I just got a PM that I was called back to battle.

Well crap. I didn't send in any orders to attack anyone. This is what I get for living in Australia.

By my count, the following people have been active Today but have no votes:

BobArrgh
fubbleskag
gnarlycharlie
Silver Jan
storyteller0910 (voted and unvoted NAF1138 in the same post)
Tanaer

These folks haven't posted at all Today:

Lilflower
Mahaloth
NAF1138
PetW
realitytrip
Red Skeezix

And Mosier gets a pass (for the moment) for being Brainless.
By the way, I find this incredibly disheartening.

Too much inertia. And people would have said, "he's neutral, it doesn't matter anyway."

Too bad. ToeJam has been putting in a lot of pro-Town effort.

By this argument, we should just end each Day after an hour. Too much inertia, it doesn't matter. The votes are locked in.

Stupid question alert!

Considering he's not dead yet, not officially anyway, couldn't ToeJam or whomever he's made his confidante(s) could let us in on whatever-it-is he learned as an investigator, if that's indeed what he is?

I mention this now because if his confidante(s) are less than truthful, ToeJam, being in a Schroedinger's Box situation, could refute them.

(Personally I'm glad to hear we have, or at least had, an investigator. Nice to see some traditional Mafia roles here that I understand.)

While that might technically be within the letter of the law, I think it pretty clearly breaks the spirit of the rules.

Actually, for the record (@everyone) I end the phases at a time that is decidedly inconvenient for me because I am usually working my full-time job.

However, the phase ends at a time which is convenient for most people, which is 5PM on a weekday.

If I ended the phases at a time which is convenient for me, maybe two or three players would be online to see end of phase.

Ok I have the tally taken down as well as folks' actions. I just need to wait on clarification about something before I can proceed. Don't wait up for the result to be posted.

Hold sending in your night actions unless you wish to send them to my email address. My inbox is near full and I cannot delete anything right now.

Silver Jan (3): Silver Jan (1814), Normal Phase (2081), Normal Phase (2081)
septimus (1): septimus (1820)
Visorslash (2): Visorslash (1855), Visorslash (1855)
Astral Rejection (4): fubbleskag (1902), Tanaer (2008), choie (2010), Astral Rejection (2052)
Mosier (0): ToeJam (1934-2076)
MHaye (1): MHaye (2037)

Dear great and glorious Phere... Would it be possible, going forward, to at least let us know who died in the lynch? We tend to have a day or two where nobody wants to talk, because we don't know if we're dead or not. For instance, telling us ToeJam died, for sure, and his alignment is [X] would let Suburban start dishing and us start speculating.

Then you can take your time on the rest of the write up, and there isn't this huge lull in the game.

Just a thought!

Would have loved to, but unfortunately I needed to clarify a couple things with the hand that feeds me and I was not at my desk when said clarifications arrived.

In other words, I had no idea what the result of the round was either.

It is the year 10,432...

It is the eighth day of the sixth month.

Where it was, was another matter.

Cut off from the rest of the Overrealm, trapped on a fragment of land swirling in a hellish void, the Adventurers saw the dead walking among them. It felt like reality as they knew it was being twisted and warped into something else entirely. And at the center of it all, a Demon summoned from one of the Hells.

Powerful magic was the obvious source of all this...

Powerful enough to bend reality.

How could they face such a foe?

Korn- Hold On
With aversion, this insertion
came so swiftly
Cut the cord, from this day forward
We'll be drifting
No direction, no affection
Watch the soul dive
You're dissected, resurrected
Still don't know why
This illness is like a monster that is
eating us alive

Hold on, be strong
So right, so wrong
With all of our senses
All of our defenses
Hold on, be strong

New arrival, our survival
still not certain
What's a virtue, where do you go to
when you're hurting?
It's a weakness, it's a sickness
in the gene pool
Show no mercy, people here say
"Kill the damned fool"
This illness is like a monster that is
eating us alive

Hold on, be strong
So right, so wrong
With all of our senses
All of our defenses
Hold on, be strong

My Soul Blood Run

Don't ever let me go, no
Don't ever let me go, no
Never never let you go, no
I'll never let you go, no
Hold on, be strong
So right, so wrong
With all of our senses
All of our defenses
Hold on, be strong

Lord Phere watched the pathetic creatures with a mixture of disdain and amusement. They were only beginning to witness his infernal power, and he intended to show them more of it today.

They seemed a bit preoccupied with one of those brought back from death. Such fragile creatures they were... their lives so easily broken, so easily replaced. Mere playthings to a being such as Phere, surely. And so they would be forced to amuse him some more.

"What magic is this? The dead walk among us." said one.

"Do not be distracted by them. It is simply Lord Phere's way of psychological warfare." said another.

"On the contrary, they may be our enemies! We must fight!" said a third.

"Brains. Brains. BRAIIINS!" said Mosier.

Suburban Plankton
felt someone grab him from behind, and felt a powerful jaw bite him directly on the head, even through his helm.

Fortunately, the helm seemed to protect him from the blow.

Suburban Plankton takes no damage.

"We're under attack! Finish this undead creature!"

Mosier
took a severe blow to the chest, but did not even flinch.

Mosier takes 100hp damage.

"I concur! Defeat the foul beast!"

Mosier is run clean through, and still he stands.

Mosier takes 100hp damage.

A blow lands squarely against RealityTrip, impaling him at the back. He didn't even sense it coming.

"Yipes! Where did that come from?" shouted RealityTrip.

RealityTrip
takes 50hp damage.

A powerful magic blast rushes through the air, and lands directly on ToeJam.

"OUCH! That stings!" cried ToeJam.

ToeJam takes 100hp damage.

"Fools! Attack the Demon Lord, we must!" shouted someone.

A glittering bolt sails through the air, and strikes the Demon Lord in the chest.

Lord Phere takes 100hp damage.

"HAH HAH HAH.... IS THAT ALL? LET ME SHOW YOU HOW IT IS DONE, SLIME MOLD!"

Lord Phere summoned a massive sphere of glowing energy, and fired in several directions.

A powerful sphere of wind landed directly against choie, releasing a huge pressure wave and sending her flying across the battlefield.

"Aaaaiiiieeeeeee!!"

Choie takes 100hp damage.

A hurtling sphere of earth and rock pummeled Mhaye, and buried him underneath.

"It's an avalanche!"

MHaye takes 100hp damage.

A deathly blast of ice skyrocketed toward Normal Phase, who stood her ground. Somehow, the magical attack dissipated on contact.

"Ha! Your cold spell has no effect, you big fat creep!"

Normal Phase takes no damage.

"You are my plaything. I am simply toying with you. What fun would this be if I simply obliterated you all right now? No... I enjoy watching you suffer, and die.... and then die again! HAHAHAHA!!! But if you wish, I CAN FINISH YOU ALL RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW!!!"

The Demon Lord began summoning an orb of blackness, which twisted the very fabric of existence. It was growing exponentially more and more powerful, and the general order to retreat was sounded.

However, one of them was forced to stay behind by the others...

ToeJam, naturally.

A bright glow surrounded Choie.

"That feels better."

Choie recovers 100hp.

A bright glow surrounded Astral Rejection.

"Thanks, I feel stronger already!"

Astral Rejection recovers 100hp.

"So be it. I will face it alone.

Never Phere, gasbag! I shall rend you from nape to chops!

What is that you're wearing on your face? ....Is it a helmet to protect you from danger, or a helmet to protect us from 99 percent of all the ugliness in the universe? Here, take this!"

ToeJam hurled his weapon at Lord Phere, striking him in the face.

Lord Phere takes 80hp damage.

"Yes, you... You will die!
Now face OBLIVION, fungus brain!"

Lord Phere unleashed the hellish orb, wiping ToeJam from the face of existence in a blow that shook what little earth remained beneath their feet.

"GAH HA HAH HAH.... Oh that was satisfying."

ToeJam was incinerated by Lord Phere.

The Aftermath:

Upon inspection of his quarters, they noticed that ToeJam seemed to have all the basic tools that one might associate with a locksmith, but there were no locks to be found. There appeared to be a number of minor trinkets scattered throughout his quarters, inside treasure chests of various sizes. They concluded that ToeJam had been living the life of a Rogue (Thief). He may have had self-interest in mind, instead of merely defeating evil, and was therefore somewhat Neutral.

Surprisingly, they could find no items that they could identify as stolen from anyone in the Adventuring party, nor any stolen money.

The Red Pendant was given to the recently departed Astral Rejection.

I think that second thing reads wrong. It was 80 the second time, not 100.

Lord Phere takes 100hp damage.

Oh, that's good, good good -- not the death but the nature of the reveal. I'm now expecting bad guys with the possible exception of the traitor himself (godfather?) to be clued as such in the death write-up. Neutral might still be town in some cases, but the "self-interest" part I think is pretty clear.

ToeJam, we must have words after this is all over.
