I don't care one bit about Park and her dreams, or whether she gets it on with Chase or whether he wants "some of this."
The preview of next week's episode was the most compelling part of this week's episode. We'll get to see some powerhouse acting from Robert Sean Leonard. |

Park and Chase can just KNOCK IT OFF. It ain't happening and the coy factor makes me queasy. This particular show was 'meh' except for two developments.
Green Card Wife is gone. And next week....jeez. |

Some of us do not watch the previews because we don't want any spoilers , premonitions or preconceptions about the episode. I would appreciate that the thread stick to the episode just aired.

The elevator scene was pretty funny. I am still rooting for House to get Lupus at the end. That or he cuts of that irritating legs and becomes Santa Clause.

Personally, I'm just sort of hoping he just sort of wanders off into the sunset. I'd hate to see them try to pull some big stunt right at the end and fail. Overall it's been a good series and I'd like to see it leave on a good note rather then a sour one. Also, I liked Chase's dream sequence..."Are you coming?" There aren't enough shows left for House to go on a maniacal campaign of radical cures for Wilson's cancer, but maybe he'll come up with a radical diagnosis that disproves the original and cures Wilson by giving him an aspirin.
Without Wilson House would be very despondent. He enjoys Wilson's company and needs his moderating influence. This would be especially true if Dominica is gone for good. There was that gun in House's closet that belonged to his father. The series could end with him contemplating the cigar box in which it's kept. In the end, it's just a story so the outcome isn't important. I just think it's a badly written one if everything gets wrapped up in the last two chapters with minimal buildup to the conclusion. And it looks as though that's the case. There are four or less episodes to go. |

I'm disappointed at Green Card wife leaving. I'm a romantic sometimes, so sue me.
Chase was pretty before he cut his hair. Ok - the upcoming cancer story line - cheap, lazy writing. easy way to wring drama. but, yes, opportunity for some fine acting, I guess. |

I wonder if there will be a twist where Wilson ends up being just fine and House is the one who dies.

Jeez, I hope so. A part of me still thinks of him as the waggle headed kid from Dead Poet's Society and Much ado About Nothing. (I mean seriously, in Much Ado he'll make you dizzy.)

I'm hoping for an "it was all a dream" ending. Dr. Gregory House wakes up from a coma he's been in since the series started. He recovers and goes back to work at a small town hospital where he is the most well-adjusted, kind and caring physician on the staff. All the other major characters are there in slightly altered versions of their dream selves. Dominica is his faithful wife and is about to give birth to their first child who they've decided to name Wilson.

To save Wilson, House will need to find a donor for a brain stem bilirubin zygote marrow transplant that Wilson requires. Unfortunately the procedure carries a 100% mortality rate for the donor. House of course will meet the criteria and be a perfect match, which he will do to save his friend, sacrificing himself in the process.
Or maybe he'll just pop a few vicodin and bang some hookers. |

Main plot kind of echoed the last episode in Season 3, only this mystery seemed less resolved than the other regarding supernatural involvement.
I thought House went overboard on the supernatural tangent, going as far as to say he'd rather have the kid die than have the family say that the supernatural saved him. Fox was showing an ugly anti atheist bias there. I repeat, the issue was handled much better in Season 3, with House being more amused than furious about it. The Hmong family seemed portrayed much better I've read Anne Fadiman's The Soul Catches You and You Fall Down, which also deals with discrepancies between Hmong and American medicine. Fascinating read, and likely an inspiration for this episode. As for Park and Chase, at least they finally did something, even if it was only a dream. Couple is interesting but the episodes are really dragging it out. Last edited by Renifer; 04-26-2012 at 12:03 AM. |

My favorite way to end a beloved series is.... nothing changes. Give us a crisis, a false dawn, a true dawn... and then everything goes back to normal. Series ends, and we (the audience) live happily ever after, knowing our favorite characters are still out there doing what they always did, just not on camera anymore.
Hey, there are worse ways to end a series. |

Eh, House VS God did it all and did it better.

I was a little disappointed that they didn't make more of an effort to explain the levitation with some non-supernatural explanation. Sure, House said something about the grandfather being a magician, but there was nothing that we saw to indicate that was the case. There was nothing to indicate that the grandfather was being disingenuous about his beliefs, or had anything but his grandson's best interest at heart, so to hang everything on him trying to fool the doctors seems unsupported by the evidence we saw.

My guess says, this. At the very end of the last episode, My Fair Lady-style.
Bonus points if House responds with something along the lines of "Eliza, where the devil are my slippers?" |
