I love pizza, and I love chocolate, but I don't like the two together.
(I haven't ever eaten them at exactly the same time, but I've eaten chocolate shortly after having pizza, and the aftertaste of the pizza interferes with my enjoyment of the chocolate. Same with bacon aftertaste and chocolate - I've never understood people who like chocolate-covered bacon. :P ) |

The runny yolk should act as a dipping sauce for the beef. I happen to like runny yolks so it is my favorite part of eating sukiyaki.

Pineapple meatloaf. ::shudder::

While in Israel, I had Shakshouka for breakfast.
*puke* It was basically poached, runny eggs sitting in really spicy tomato sauce. It was absolutely vile. The texture was the biggest issue: the soft egg snot did not mix well with the sauce. Completely disgusting. |

I was scrambling my brain for what it was that really f's with my palate in mornings that goes with orange juice. Then I remembered it was toothpaste, so not really in the spirit of the OP.
However, a quick google search reveals that OJ and Oatmeal is both good: http://www.menshealth.com/mhlists/he...s/printer.php/ and bad: http://www.mindbodygreen.com/0-3615/...ur-Health.html for you. good because it clears your arteries. bad because it clogs your colon. |

A what now? The only wagon wheel I know is from that old "Hankerin' for a hunka cheese" commercial on Saturday morning cartoons. And cheese on eggs is awesome, so you must mean something else.

My brother used to butter saltines, then heat 'em up to melt the butter by holding them next to a light bulb.
Yesterday, my husband was in the mood for what struck me as a dreadful combo for dinner - curry chicken with mac & cheese. |

Bite your tongue! Shakshouka is awesome. I only discovered it last year when I was looking for a poached egg in tomato sauce recipe (thinking it would be a good combo.) One of my favorite breakfasts.

Ketchup on eggs is really common. Though I like to think grown-ups graduate to sriracha on eggs. I've been known to throw on a little barbecue sauce sometimes...

As a game, my sisters an I cam up with weir foo combinations. One we came up with was cucumbers dipped in mustard, which actually turned out to be not so bad in reality. Sauerkraut with peppermint sauce was one we never had the courage to test!
Braunschweiger liver sausage with mayo on rye bread is actually wonderful no matter what anyone else says. Cheese only makes it better. Last edited by Cub Mistress; 08-16-2012 at 09:19 PM. |

Huh. All this time I thought I was the only one who ate buttered saltines, having dreamed it up as a child as a great side dish for my ramen soup. Does that mean I'm also not the first person to think of spreading peanut butter on my chocolate chip cookies?
I once grilled up a bunch of steaks that I had pre-seasoned for a party. One guy I knew proceeded to douse his entirely in ketchup before he ate it. I died a little on the inside. |

I like a little ketchup on eggs! A toasted white bread/ hard-fried egg / American cheese sammitch from a dingy diner, wrapped in wax paper and brought back to the office for lunch the day before payday (75 cents about 30 years ago) - and dipped in ketchup from a McD packet found in the back of the drawer - fond memories!
I agree about the olives. Blue cheese stuffing - wretched. Gorgonzola, a tiny bit better. Feta - can't get enough. Wonder why? There's not that much difference in the three cheeses. |

I mean, yeah, it's just (essentially) bread & butter. I don't understand why it would be considered weird, much less "awful."

I put M&Ms into a turkey-on-bagel sandwich in high school once and ate it. It was ... surprisingly not-bad, I suppose because turkey works better with sweetness than most other meats (honey-roasted, turkey with cranberry jelly, etc.) |

No actually, I kid. I love tiraditos a la huancaina. It's delicious! (But if had known what it was when I ordered it, I never would have!!) |

On the flip side, here's a food/drink combination I like that some of my friends find very odd: French fries with a glass of milk. I don't think anyone finds it actually "disgusting", but some of my friends think it's very weird. I'm not entirely sure why - maybe the combination of something healthy and something unhealthy?

I have one that is obvious: Homer Simpson's idea for nuts and gum.
I think a water chestnut and chunky peanut butter sandwich would be pretty awful. |

When I was a kid, one of my favorite side dishes at Sunday lunch was bananas cut in half lengthwise, then topped with Ann Page mayonnaise and cut into thirds, and then topped with a pecan half. It's pretty tasty.

From personal experience I don't recommend lemon-lime gatorade on corn flakes. Surprisingly disgusting. |

While in Germany, I tried wheat beer with banana juice. Sounded bad, but it was delicious. I couldn't remember if you could even find bananan juice in the US.
I did not try the beer and Coke or beer and Sprite. |

Fresh pineapple basically dissolves meat. In fact pineapple enzyme is what's used as meat tenderizer. You have to use canned pineapple instead in meat applications.

(cold) merguez & nutella. It's actually not that bad, all things considered. It is bad, but not horribly so, not as godawful as you'd think anyway. The tastes kind of layer themselves instead of mixing - first you've got the ultra-sugary & chocolatey nutella that overwhelms everything, then the meat of the sausage neuters and washes it, and finally the spicey fire comes as an aftertaste. Then you take another bite and it starts over.
And yes, it was a bet. |
