October 2012 Early Voting: Chicago

OK, folks...here's the deal:

EARLY VOTING for those registered to vote in Chicago began Monday - October 22nd, and continues through Saturday - November 3rd.

9:00am - 5:00pm (excluding Sundays)

There are fifty (50) Early Voting sites (one per ward), and a Chicago registered voter may visit ANY of the E.V. sites (not just in his/her own home ward) in order to cast a ballot.

(NOTE: On Election Day -- Tuesday, November 6th -- voters must visit their own home polling place to vote .... 6:00am until 7:00pm.)

For Early Voting; just bring a government-issued photo I.D.

QUESTIONS? Just visit the Chicago Board of Elections website here: http://www.chicagoelections.com/page.php?id=9

... or here: http://www.chicagoelections.com/

I am an election judge, and we're expecting HUGE voter turn out on Nov 6th, so voting early will help you (shorter lines) and help the system (less clogging.)

We have enough of that in Chicago. Even the jokes about it should be killed.

Longest I ever waited on an election day was ten minutes.

I voted early this Saturday and was in line two hours.

Thank you for recommending this time-saving method of voting.
