Wrong video card?

I have the following mobo and video card.

I needed to purchase a new video card so I got this one:

My mother board slot is split in two sections but the new video card isn’t. I guess I have to return it. What should I be looking for in the specifications when I shop for another one?

Those are both PCI express video cards and should easily fit in the same slot…can you link pics of what you mean by “split into two slots”

If you mean the double height back plates, that does not matter, worst case you just have an open spot on the back of case.

If you click on my second link (the old video card) you can see a pic of the part that plugs into the mobo. See how the first about ten pins is separated from the rest of the long strip of pins by a slot? The new card doesn’t have that and my mobo does. I don’t see how it can fit without a slot in the card.

I’m so stupid! There was a protective cover on it that I didn’t take off. Sorry for the waste of time.

Just wanted to point out that going from a 7770 to a 650 is a downgrade, just FYI.
