On here, I learned about a video called "Two Women, One Cup."

I have never searched for it, nor do I ever want to see it, but it popped up as a suggestion, or related video or something a few weeks back when I was looking at some porn.

I still didn't watch it, but it was clear what they were sharing from the cup, and how ANYONE could gleefully wank to that I have absolutely no idea.

I have never seen it either, but there are a gazillion videos that are supposedly of people watching it.

Nick Berg's decapitation video. Me and my colleagues are having snacks when we saw it and the next proper meal I had was after a week.

I think you misspelled "ever, under any circumstances."

For me, two come to mind. A few years back I made the mistake of checking out one of the shock sites, it was probably rotten.com or ogrish.com. That was a bad idea. One (almost certainly fake) picture of a baby cooked and served as a meal sticks with me. There was also a guy receiving fellatio from a fish.

Also, when I was around 10, I read a book of scary stories. One involved a ghost of a small child the basement of a house, and it would bounce a red rubber ball. The people in the house heard it but never understood what it meant. And then, one day, the ball bounced up the stairs, the basement door opened, and it entered the house. For some reason, I remember vividly the illustration of the open door with the bouncing ball, and it still creeps me out.

Mod note

Chorpler, I put your description of an animal being skinned alive into a spoiler box. Please don't post such graphic material without some accommodation for people who don't necessarily want the details, despite the topic of the thread.

Thanks,

Hopefully this was obvious from context, but I want to clarify...if these sties still exist, don't visit them. Just don't.

Most upsetting thing I ever came across was something I had to look at professionally - I was working as a junior lawyer on a case where a partner at my firm had been hired by a family intent on influencing a coroner's jury to make certain recommendations arising from a horrible industrial accident.

What happened was this: someone drove into a construction site by accident; a supervisor, who was busy helping a dement mixer back into position, turned towards the intriusive car, to direct her to leave the way she came; the driver of the cement mixer, losing sight of the supervisor, mistakenly kept backing up ... and ran over him.

SPOILER:
He was squeezed like a tube of toothpaste - his guts came fountaining out of his mouth, to splash across the road in front of the lady's car - eventually, his skull was popped - one photo showed an eyeball and a bit of brain, some distance away.

The driver, who saw this death right in front of her, was so traumatized she spent some weeks in a mental hospital.

[The purpose of the family was to attempt to get the coroner's jury to recommend changes in equipment to make such accidents less likely, rather than simply chalking it all up to human error. It was a long time ago, can't remember what came of it].

Which begs the question: WHY did all of you watch those decapitation videos? It's not like they spontaneously popped up on your computers. What were you expecting?

Why did I click that? WhydidIclickthat??

Seriously, that's horrific. Sounds like something Chuck Palahniuk would write a story about.

I think if I'd been you, that would have been the end of my law career--or at least I'd have switched to a specialization that had zero chance of my ever having to watch something like that again...

Well, once upon a time there were a whole bunch of reaction videos to something apparently titled "I love the fishes cause they are so delicious". I got curious, asked about it here but no one had seen it, got more curious. Bad idea.

For me it's this photo of a 14-year old girl. There's nothing horrifying or disturbing about the photo if you're not aware of the backstory. But once you are it will haunt you forever.

Here's the photo.

Here's the backstory and a picture of the photographer.

If I could erase this from my memory I'd do it in an instant.

The photo that really saddened and horrified me is the one that was found that might be the missing Tara Calico (plus a young boy).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tara_Ca...ctims_1989.jpg

Background here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tara_Calico

It might not be her, but it's a haunting photo, so beware.

The 2 that come immediately to mind for me:

I was working in a rattle-trap factory that cut corners on safety. It was almost an every night occurance that someone was taken to the ER with a rivot in their hand or some such. They had removed a safety shield on a high speed conveyor belt for some reason or another. A woman had her hair pulled back in a pony tail and leaned over; her hair fell over her shoulder and into the conveyor. It literally scalped her. She came down the asile screaming, her bare skull shining, her face looking like it was melting because there was nothing to hold it up. I still see her in my nightmares.

The other, the stable I was boarding my horse at was owned by a veterinarian. On Thanksgiving 1978, he askex me if I could help him with something. A Thoroughbred filly had been brought in for treatment of tetnus and was convulsing. It was cold but sweat was running off her like a waterfall. Her convulsions would draw her head and neck back to the point her heat *almost* touched her back. The owner refused to allow him to euthanize her because there was a small chance of recovery, and the insurance wouldn't pay for her if he did.

I had to hold her head down while he gave her an injection. A $10 tetnus shot would have saved her from that horrible death, but the owner was too goddamned cheap. Doc and I spent the night with her so she wouldn't die alone. I will never forget it.

Unfortunately.

Thanks twickster. Again, I apologize to anybody who was traumatized or disturbed by my description. I don't want to be the cause of somebody else's "wish you hadn't read/seen that" memories.

Malthus' spoiler reminds me of something I witnessed first-hand. The fact that I didn't think about it sooner means that my brain has finally accepted it as less traumatic. I've described this in two other threads, and won't describe it again here. It involves a young bicyclist and an 18-wheeler.

She was airlifted to a trauma center in Louisville KY. It was all kept very hush-hush and I was laid off from the job a few days later. I never heard if she survived.

Which one - the one about people who are sexually aroused by car crashes, or the one featuring a lot of Los Angelenos not being nice to each other? I saw the latter only, and found IT disturbing enough.

Against my better judgement I clicked on a link in a thread here on the Dope, quite some time ago.

The story was about a young South American woman who was part of a campaign against drunk driving, allowing her image to be used.

There was the "before" picture of a gorgeous girl in a bikini, on the beach.

Then there was the link with the picture of her after her car had been struck by a drunk driver, and she'd been burned over her entire body. I will not describe what she looked like afterwards, I just remember pushing myself away from the keyboard in shock.

She was brave enough to let her picture be used, to try and get the point across about the dangers of DUI.

That's the one I thought of.

I don't actively look for shocking pictures but since I've always been interested in weird / bizarre / scary stories, I've stumbled upon pictures of disfigured people several times. All of these are difficult to look at but her burns were beyond horrific. I have no idea how she survived whatever did that to her and I don't want to know.

Dr. Crozier, the WHO physician who recently identified himself, said that at one point, he was producing 8 liters of diarrhea a day, so yeah, I could imagine. I'm sure glad that the TV footage from Africa doesn't come with Smell-O-Vision.
There are quite a few "TMI!" moments in this story, and most of them are about Dr. Brantly. Apparently, he WANTED things like this printed, so people know what this disease really truly does to people.

I pictured a lot of people pushing their breakfast plates aside at one point, and if you read the story, you'll know exactly where it is. Reading it wasn't easy. EXPERIENCING it, whether first- or secondhand, would be beyond horrible. Repeat x 10,000 and that must be what's like in parts of west Africa. Incredibly, some of the survivors want to go back, or in the case of British nurse Will Pooley, already have.

Probably the most shocking story I've ever encountered on the internet is Agony in Pink, a torture/sadism/sexual snuff fanfic about the pink Power Ranger. Link below for the strong of stomach. Obviously NSFW:

Honestly though, I'm drawn like a moth to shit that exposes the dark side of humanity. I love edgy writing in general. So I don't regret reading it, but I think most normal people probably would.

As far as true regrets, I swore off 4chan after someone posted a picture of a guy putting the head of his penis into an infant's mouth. That was seriously fucked-up.

You reported that post, I hoped! And not just to the moderators, but to the authorities?

THAT is a worse "cannot be unseen" than the thing I described in my previous post. At least no crime was committed there. p.s. It's common knowledge that he had some awfully nasty stuff coming out both ends, as did most of them (Nancy Writebol has said on the record that she never vomited at all). I seriously didn't want to know that many details.

It is a picture of a nude man using his hands to hold his grossly stretched anus open so you can see the inside clearly.

That's pretty much what a torturer would likely have been called on Power Rangers, so, I'm not sure how that stands out as particularly badly written...

"Tortura" isn't really giving the kids much imagination space to work with. Mind you, this is a long torture-porn piece about a Power Ranger doll, so, y'know. I worry about the mental state of the person who wrote it. I guess it's good that the feelings are expressed in prose rather than actuality (one hopes), but whoever wrote it is still a massive fucking weirdo.

Someone on Cracked wrote an article about fanfic and listed a Harry Potter/Teletubbies crossover slash fic. That was BAD. Really bad.

Aliens 4. I wish I had walked out. It sucked and was disgusting on so many levels. Still, can't really compare it to some of the reality stories in this thread.

I have seen videos of dogs shot by policemen but didn't die right away, thrown off bridges by people who thought it was funny (he didn't die either and in fact was wagging his tail even though he couldn't get up), soldiers shooting a dog in the middle east over and over as it tried to get away, and they were laughing.

I have seen foxes skinned alive,
SPOILER:
they were banged against a tree to stun them, and then were skinned, and then left to stumble around on the ground awake, with only their eyelashes left.
It was not staged, it was a group of Asians doing their job, chatting merrily the whole time as though they were discussing the weather.
SPOILER:
Some they would nail to the tree, alive, and skin them that way.

I saw a guy whose skull was missing from the top of his head due to cancer, and maggots were living in his brain. I saw a guy jump off a high pier into the water, except he missed, and his face hit the corner of the dock below him.
SPOILER:
His head was split in two, with no recognizable facial features, yet when doctors pushed his head together, you realize he is breathing.
I've seen the beheadings that take forever. I have seen guys cut in half in road accidents, still alive and aware. I have seen guys set on fire, guys whose hands or feet were cut off as punishment for some crime.

I've seen lots of stuff. Fortunately I have seen most of them with my speakers off.

I hope I spoilered enough. If not feel free to edit.

Pass the brain bleach: That picture of the private parts of the man who allegedly has two penises.
