Was looking at the FB page for The Barrel House in Dayton, OH, and noticed Hamm's listed on the beer list. (#3 in the list.) Cheap, too!

But when you can get a Bell's Oarsman or Lagunitas IPA at $5 a 32 oz (same price as Hamm's at that size and up), the choice is easy.

I remember PBR as the beer of the infamous Clermont Lounge in Atlanta ...

I grew up in the Land of Pleasant Living and these commercials ran non-stop during radio broadcasts of Orioles (pronounced, "OOOreeoos") and Baltimore Colts (pronounced, "Bawlmer Coats") games in the '60's and '70's...it was the first beer I tasted when I was about 12 (1974) - my cousin and my brother swiped some at a family picnic...

Oh, man, since I went to undergrad in the Finger Lakes region of NY, we drank a lot of Genny Cream as it was the cheapest beer we could get in half kegs...I don't remember the exact cost, but I'm thinking it was in the $16 - 18 range...of course, over-indulgence lead to a rather unfortunate condition the next day that we termed, "The Genny Screams"...

After all, we had to make our 'entertainment' dollars stretch as there were Grateful Dead concerts to be seen and party favors that need to be purchased...

I don't drink Hamm's, but I have this sign. (Youtube)

The greatest beer sign that was ever invented, or that would ever be invented.

Oh, yeah, I resembled that remark...the irony is I have a BS in chemistry and an MS in organic chemistry...too bad I wasted my time studying and practicing polymer chemistry because my former hobbies would have bode me well today...as I always say, if God had wanted me to be rich, he would have told me to buy Microsoft stock in 1985...
