I remember hearing a couple years ago that the song by Filter "Hey man, nice shot" is (supposedly) about Kurt Cobain's suicide.

Below, I've included the lyrics to the song. Excuse me if this question has been asked before. I couldn't find it through the search function.

"Hey Man, Nice Shot"

{lyrics}

It's certainly a believable interpretation, although it's not the only one. You might want to repost a link to the lyrics, as I'm pretty sure a mod will come along and delete them soon, cause they're copyrighted.

Please do. I need to delete them now, as there's a fat man with a plaid jacket and a big cigar standing on Euty's chest, and he says he's Filter's lawyer, and he won't step off until I do it.

Yeah, looks like a Cobain song to me, too.

Nope, not Kurt. It was about Bud Dwyer, a politician who offed himself on TV with a .38.

Why did the singer from Filter want to meet Bud Dwyer?

I heard that too pcubed. Apparantly the guy admitted to having an affair on television and couldn't live with himself, so he shot himself in the head on air. He was a congressman if I remember correctly. Of course this is all from a radio DJ so who knows the legitimacy of what he says.
