Is it possible for in in-vitro fertilization clinic to produce identical twins on demand, by physically separating the cells after the first division, and transferring them to the uterus independently?

It doesn't seem to be that difficult, of course some things in theory that are easy aren't that easy in real life.

I can't imagine anyone doing this as the risk of a birth defect would put them in a lawsuit. Doctors are sued for defects that aren't there fault. Why go out of your way to put yourself in that position.
