DopeToberFest: And so it begins...

I've returned in one piece from the Redondo Beach Days Inn, where we Dopers have begun to congregate for the Great Dopetoberfest, also known as Coldy-Spiny-L.A.-Dope. Since I believe that I'm the first one to get to a computer, I shall start.

First, in attendance so far(I had to leave at 9:30 pm) are:

Shayna, SpinyNorman, Coldfire, Mercutio, Demo, psycat90, pricciar, beatle, Sassy, Scotticher, Quixotic78, katiekilldare, JimB, silverfire, Doobieous, Francesca & Mr. Fran, boli, porcupine _{and I know there's more and I'm forgetting names.... you guys can spank me tomorrow if I've forgot your name...}

Others such as JoeyHemlock, WickedBlue, SeaDiver, Kyla, Nymysys were going to be showing up later.

There has been plenty of beer, lots of pizza, and more salad than a party of 20 could consume in a lifetime.

It was actually a quiet start, even though there seemed to be a pizza crust battle going on (one piece even landing upon my cleavage), and everyone was pretty much in a jovial mood.

Scotti gives good hug; katiekilldare looks alot like Trisha Yearwood (yowza). Demo & psycat are the most adorable Doper couple.

I'm sure there will be more to come, as I believe several have brought along laptops and stuff...

I will live vicariously through the posts of those in attendance. I am detained in Palm Springs, a mere 2 hours distance yet seemingly a world away from the happenings. Would someone give everyone a hug for me? Especially Coldfire, I want him hugged like he ain't never been hugged before. I'll get ya next time, clog boy. May this be the riotous dopefest that many in the future refer to in hushed, reverential tones as "the one".
