Java 2 and Mac OS, looking for SDK

Does anyone know of a site where I can get a recent Java 2 SDK for Classic Mac OS (9.1 or earlier)?

I checked http://java.sun.com and their most recent Java 2 SDK in v 1.3.1, but it’s only available for Winodws, Solaris and Linux. There was a link from the v 1.2 page to Apple’s version of the SDK but it is described as using the Java 1.1.8 spec.

Since Java 2 was originally going to be Java 1.2, if I can’t find a more recent version of a Mac SDK, would the one using the 1.1.8 spec work?

Thanks

This might help:
http://developer.apple.com/java/index.html --> http://developer.apple.com/java/classic.html
The versnums are going all wiggly on me, so I can’t say for sure.

Thanks. I had checked there earlier, and the only info I’d seen was about MRJ 2.2.5, which I thought wasn’t current enough. But way at the bottom there’s a link to
http://developer.apple.com/java/javaintro/tools.html which has more tools, so I may be able to find what I need there. (Note to self: read WHOLE page next time before asking)
