Tangent alert!
One of the best gifts I EVER got was this cool bathtub paint stuff; you could paint all over yourself, the tub and it washed right off and made a ton of bubbles! I got it for my birthday when I turned 25 and I still remember using it up in about a week.
I’d LOVE to lay my hands on some more of it and play in the tub with my SO. Yeah, it’s silly, child-like, but I think it would be a riot! Talk about getting dirty while you get clean! 
As for the OP: even though I was alone this year I had a wonderful time. I spoke with everyone in my family and felt closer, emotionally, to them than I have in years. Some times being alone isn’t being lonely.
